The Founder — Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin
The story of Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin begins with humble origins and an unwavering belief in the value of hard work. As a university student, he balanced his studies with simple jobs that helped cover his education and daily needs — early experiences that shaped his character around resilience, discipline, and self-reliance.
After graduating in 1977, his professional journey took him from accounting, to overseeing agricultural operations, to managing sales teams and industrial facilities. With every role, his leadership deepened — and his understanding of how businesses truly grow expanded, one responsible decision at a time.
His reputation for integrity and operational excellence earned him senior management positions within a public joint-stock company. But the defining moment came in 1984, when he founded YAN — a name drawn from his children's initials, symbolizing the continuity of legacy across generations.
What began as a small entrepreneurial venture grew steadily into a respected marketing and distribution house. Driven by Dr. Nasereddin's belief in good governance, ethical practice, and long-term relationships, the company expanded into pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, consumer products, and later, a portfolio of specialized distribution divisions.
